The Challenge

Lofa Consulting needed a unified learning platform to deliver NDIS training to support workers and participants. Their existing training systems were manual and paper-based, leading to compliance gaps and difficulty tracking learner progress. Support workers struggled to access training materials, and managers had no visibility into completion rates or skill development across their teams.

Our Solution

We designed and developed a comprehensive NDIS learning management system with a design-first approach. Starting with user research involving support workers, participants, and coordinators, we created accessible interfaces for diverse learners. The system features course libraries with NDIS-specific content, progress tracking and certification management, accessible learning materials, compliance reporting and audit trails, and mobile-friendly learning for on-the-go access.

We followed our proven collaborative design-first methodology, working closely with clients through presentations, feedback sessions, and revisions to ensure they are active partners in creating the system.

1. Discovery & Research

Conducted extensive user research with NDIS support workers, participants, and service coordinators. Created user personas, learning journey maps, and identified accessibility requirements and training delivery challenges.

2. Wireframing & Prototyping

Developed interactive prototypes with accessible navigation and course structures, then presented to the client team and learner focus groups for initial feedback. Conducted collaborative workshops to validate learning pathways.

3. UI/UX Design

Created high-fidelity accessible designs incorporating client feedback and revisions. Presented final designs to stakeholders for approval, ensuring the platform serves all learners.

4. Development Handoff

Delivered comprehensive design specifications, accessibility guidelines, and component library to the development team. Maintained close collaboration throughout implementation.

Centralized student administration system for enrolling students, tracking their progress and performance, managing individual learning paths, generating detailed reports, and monitoring completion rates and assessment results across all courses.

Student Learning Interface

Intuitive and accessible learning portal where students can browse available courses, enroll in programs, access learning materials, complete lessons and assessments, track their own progress, and view their certifications and achievements.
